Manifolds (Differentieerbare varieteiten)

Blok 1, 2020/2021

This is the web-site for the course "Differentieerbare varieteiten" given in blok 1, Fall 2020. Here you will find all the practical informations about the course, changes that take place during the year, lecture notes, etc.
When, where, etc:

THE LECTURES:

LECTURER: Marius Crainic.

THE WERKCOLLEGES:

TEACHING ASSISTANTS: Maarten Mol, Willem Smilde.

GROUP WERKCOLLEGES: more information to come on the division into groups.

HOMEWORKS: Each week you will receive a homework that which you have to "hand in" the week after, before the last lecture. Please keep in touch with the teaching assistans about the way you prepare/send the homeworks (e.g. files, or just photos of handwritten solutions); in particular, please do not send your homework to the lecturer (the your homework may get lost ...).

Here I will soon add a link where you can check the marks for the homeworks, quizzes, etc.

Marks: will be made of several items, subject to some minimal requirements.

Lecture notes: Please be aware that the lecture notes may still contain typos. So, if there is something that you do not understand, please ask it at the werkcollege; also, if you find typos, please communicate them to the teaching assistants. This will be of great help to improve the lecture notes and make them into a regular "dictaat" that can be printed for students.

In principle, I will be using the lecture notes from the previous two years, but which I will correct/improve as we go along with the course. But, once the material is posted on this page, I will no longer make changes that affect the numbering or the theorems, pagination, etc.So, in principle, once you printed a part, you do not have to print it again.

While the various parts of the lecture notes will be made available as we go, just for your curiosity, here is the link to the lecture notes of the last year. (but: DO NOT PRINT THEM!!!)
