The DOS program GOLDSTINE.EXE evaluates the dates of New Moon and Full Moon and the ecliptic longitude of the Moon according to the algorithms used in Goldstine (1973).
The Goldstine tables list the times of New Moon and Full Moon to the nearest minute and the ecliptic longitude to 0.01 degree. Although the program adds another decimal, this precision is illusory as the Goldstine algorithms result in errors that during the modern period amount up to 13 minutes in the times of New Moon or Full Moon and 0.12 degrees in ecliptic longitude.
