General remarks


Plagiarism, copying, unethical behavior, etc.

The wikipedia defines plagiarism as the "wrongful appropriation" and "stealing and publication" of another author's "language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions" and the representation of them as one's own original work. Well-known cases of plagiarism can be found in the PhD work of the former German minister Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg and the former German minister Annette Schavan (who both were forced to step down as ministers when the plagiarism was detected).
