• In Utrecht I also supervise master theses AI, mostly on computational argumentation, AI & law and machine ethics.

In Groningen I taught part of a bachelor course called E-thics (2018-2023, two lectures on legal AI applications), and a bachelor course on legal argumentation (2015-2023, in Dutch: official name Juridische Argumentatie. My reader for the latter course (in Dutch) is downloadable under Creative Commons license CC BY-NC 4.0, which means that you are free to use it for non-commercial purposes as long as you acknowledge the original source, including my name. Earlier I taught courses on Computer Law for non-law students (2005-2014, half of the course, in Dutch) and on Legal Knowledge-Based Systems (2004-2011, in Dutch) and I gave lectures on legal argumentation in various other courses.

I gave series of guest lectures on three occasions:

• AI in Court, UNA Digitalized! Masterclass, Jagiellionian University, Krakow (Poland), 29 August - 2 September 2022.
• AI in Court (updated version), Department of Law, University of Bologna (Italy), 19-28 November 2024.

I co-organise(d) two summerschools at the European University Institute, Florence (Italy):

• Summer Schools on Law and Logic (2012-2018).
• AI & Law Summer Schools (since 2019).

I co-organised the Spring School on Argumentation in Artificial Intelligence and Law, Sun Yat-Sen University, Guangzhou (China), 10-12 April 2018.
