The Design

DAB was introduced around 2000, but with the introduction of DAB+, the sets became useless. So perhaps buying this was a mistake… I hadn't realised this limitation. This radio still works well on FM. Probably the DAB reception is still OK, too, but by lack of stations I can't verify that. It searches (and finds) stations, you can select a station from the list, but then you don't hear anything.

This Object

The wood cabinet contains two small speakers and this combination gives very good sound. The power consumption of this set is rather high, about 7W from the DC supply.
