The designer's notes I had, with handwritings of Alex van Gurp, went back to the Van Gurp family together with the radio. But here is the schema of the tropical version KY5131.

The Design

The designer, Alexander van Gurp, took special care that no parts of the chassis could be touched, even if the knobs would be gone. The ACDC radios often run very hot in the corner where the output tube and rectifier are located, but this radio has good ventilation and can be touched after half an hour play.

This Object

The radio was designed in the Van der Heem laboratory in The Hague, in 1950 by Alexander van Gurp. Van Gurp found my radio on the Internet and told me about his work. Later he bought the radio back from me for his family as a memory to his work. Alex van Gurp died in the summer of 2002, but his son and grandson still enjoy the Erres KY513 (photo).
