The Design

I do not know, why there are two different output transistors. I found a big 6V battery inside, but do not know if the radio was intended to be fed by these, or had a battery holder originally. There was a primitive form of physiological tone control: volume was controlled by a double potmeter, where a second section was used to strengthen low notes at low volumes. Capacitor date codes are 6.58 and 7.58.

This Object

The volume control switch was defective, so I had to replace the volume control, and dropped the tone correction. One of the coils on the ferrite rod is interrupted, but I found out that the radio still plays on PO if the two contacts on one of the band switch sections were connected (white jumper on left edge of photo). I think the radio now plays on PO with the GO antenna coil.

Inside the radio is a coupon to prove that the owner, Robert Dujardin in Marche en Famenne, had paid his radio tax.
