One day I went to visit ABC Antiques and Decorations in Zevenaar because this place was suggested in the Dutch Forum voor Oude Radios. Indeed they did have a cabinet with radios in the back corner, but most of these were in quite deplorable state. Some you couldn't even lift up because looking at them would make them fall apart already. But I found two leather transistor radios there, this one and a Radiola, for 15 guilders each.
The state of this radio was quite deplorable, too. What can one do with such a radio? I repaired it (this involved removal and opening of the volume control, because the switch inside it was defective!) and cleansed the outside. I put a volume control knob and a battery. I now have a playing old radio, but probably not a very valuable one.
