The Design

In the eighties, digital portables became available. But for most travellers and shortwave listeners, the analogue portable with bandspread was still the standard.

Obtained	3/2022 from Hilbert (via Marktplaats).
Condition	7; screws missing, some dents in cabinet, battery spring rusted.
Disposed	Sold 6/2022.

This Object

The radio was sold to me as defective. I tested it powered from the DC jack and it works. The battery contacts look pretty corroded, so maybe it will not work on batteries for that reason. I tried to play it on a USB charger, and FM works fine then, but the AM bands only produce strong noise.
