The Design

Mike Hermanau reports that he bought one of these devices in 1991 for 180DM. DNT stands for Drahtlose Nachrichtentechnik and it is a German company founded around 1970.

This Object

When you open this set, you see a cramped, but classical PCB with over twenty transistors, a handful of IC's, and resistors and capacitors mounted on little wires. Compare this to the inside of the Yupiteru MVT-7100, built just a few years later. There wasn't really much wrong with this radio, just a few bad contacts in the switch and battery areas.

In August 2015 I replced the volume pot. Set appears to work on a subset of channels only, but there is not much possibility to use and test 27Mc sets anymore.
