The Design

When you hear old people talk about the Second World War, tales about the Knijpkat are inevitably part of their stories. At that time, it was not easy to get batteries in our country, so these handhelds were a good solution in dark days. My Knijpkat isn't that old but serves well to explain the idea to children. It is surprising how little light you get for a lot of work! Try reading a newspaper with a Knijpkat!

It was a bit dirty and had to be cleansed on the inside, which allowed me to take this inside picture.
