Russian portables sometimes have illegible script on them. Quite peculiar is that they always have a connection for a long wire antenna and, very surprisingly, connecting an antenna does not overload the radio, but actually improves reception. There is an odd dial mechanism inside (photo), moving a rotary dial plus the tuning condensator by a string.

The radio is not perfect, but in reasonably good shape overall, inside as well as outside. There is a short in the tuning capacitor, blanking out a small part of both MW and LW. The radio has condensators marked 1979-1 and a sticker with III-1979 under the battery.
