The Design
The radio manufacturers in East Europe followed the stylish cabinets with piano keys; see Tesla 426 for another example. In Western Europe, this style, originating from luxereous FM radios, was also copied to cheap ACDC sets, see Standard 430. The radio is equipped with the so-called European Four Tube circuit, where the MF amplifier and AF pre-amplifier are combined in a single UCH21 tube.Instead of the usual 50+50 uF capacitor in the power supply, this radio has the two filter capacitors (32 uF each) in two separate cans. There is an interesting implementation of band spread: the broadcast band (MW) is split into two bands, each covering about 500kHz of bandwidth. The radio does not have a Pickup entry.

This Object
The UBL21 tube suffered from bad filament and had to be replaced. Then the radio worked, but the sensitivity isn't great. I had to clean the band switch to bring SW alive. LW still doesn't work (no activity of the local oscillator).
