The Cassette-Corder was quadruple powered: it can play on 4 D type cells, a mains connection (127, 220, or 240V), a car battery, or the special BP-8 NiCad cell (also internally chargeable). However, because I didn't want to place batteries, don't have the special AC cable, which is also the car battery cable, and the set came without the BP-8 pack, I installed a DC plug (5-6V, plus is center), so it is now quintuple powered.
