The Design

In the series of 50mA filament miniature battery tubes there were two output tube types: the DL92 was used for sets with low plate voltage (up to 90V) and the DL94 was used for high plate voltage (90V and higher). The output power of the DL94 is about twice as high, and this radio demonstrates it: it has good sound quality.

This Object

Piet Hoen found this for me at the NVHR swap meet. It only needed a replacement output tube and some cleansing.
