Aim of projects

Joep Peters:
  • Preparation of 2-D PbX and CdX semiconductors by wet chemistry: quantum wells, square lattices and honeycomb structures.
  • Delivery of such structures to other groups in Delft and Eindhoven.
  • Characterization of optical inter- and intra-band transition in these structures by single-layer absorption spectroscopy and photoluminescence excitation spectroscopy.
  • Investigation of the band occupation in these systems by means of electrochemical gating.
Marlou Slot:
  • Investigation of the electronic band structure of square and honeycomb semiconductors by scanning electron tunneling micro-spectroscopy.
  • Investigation of the band occupation in these systems by means of electrochemical gating.

Aim of related projects

Carlo van Overbeek:
  • Preparation of 2-D PbX and CdX semiconductors by wet chemistry: quantum wells, square lattices and honeycomb structures.
  • Understanding the mechanis of interfacial nanocrystal assembly, and the formation of atomically coherent lattices by oriented attachment.
Maryam Alimoradi Jazi:
  • Preparation of 2-D semiconductors of PbX compounds and or perovskites by wet chemistry: quantum wells, square lattices and honeycomb structures.
  • Research on the opto-electronic properties of these systems, preparation of IR photodetectors.
