An invaluable source for travel information within the Netherlands is the route planner.
From Utrecht Centraal (main station) to the Buys Ballotgebouw and the Hans Freudenthalgebouw (=mathematics institute)
Take the bus 28 (direction de Uithof P + R) to Botanische Tuinen (=botanical garden) or the bus 12 (direction Uithof UMC AZU) to Padualaan.

From Amsterdam Airport Schiphol to Utrecht Centraal or Amsterdam
It is most convenient to take the train with NS (the Dutch Railways). You need either a single-use chipkaart or an OV-chipkaart. Both are available from the yellow ticket machines, which are located near the platforms at Schiphol Plaza. Tickets are also available from the ticket- and service desks, which are situated close to the red/ white-checked cube at Schiphol Plaza.
You need to check in and out with your chipkaart at the train station before and after your journey.
From Utrecht Centraal to the Mitland hotel
The address of the hotel is Ariënslaan 1, 3573 PT Utrecht. It is simplest to arrive there by taxi. Alternatively, you may take the bus 28 (direction de Uithof P + R) to Oorsprong park or buses 50 (direction Wageningen Busstation), 51 (direction Driebergen Rijsenburg), 53 (direction Zeist) and others to Archimedeslaan. In either case you are within a 10 minutes walk to the hotel.
