They fight the player, and after being beaten laugh at him, for he is cursed to still walk this earth.
End of Cinders
After gathering the ashes of the lords, they are sacrificed to open up the way to the kiln of the first flame. The kiln, a desolated convulsion of the world filled with ash, is guarded by a single entity: The soul of cinder. A fusion of the souls of all the previous lords of cinder. After the player beats the soul of cinder and proves themselves capable of linking the flame they get a choice. The player can either link the flame, abandon the flame or usurp the flame.
Linking the flame: the player is sacrificed to strengthen the flame to prolong the age of fire, also known as the age of gods. Abandoning the flame: the player leaves the flame, to let it either die or be linked by someone else. The age of fire continous for the coming years. Usurping the flame: the player extinguishes the flame, ushering in the age of dark, or also known as the age of man.
The choices you get are influenced by choices made during the story.Ashes of Ariandel
