I am an Assistant Professor at Utrecht University on my Veni grant "New methods in arithmetic statistics" and ERC Starting Grant "Class groups, Diophantine equations and Elliptic Curves" (CEDE). I am interested in number theory and surrounding areas.

For an informal introduction to my research, Quanta Magazine wrote featured articles involving my work on Stevenhagen's conjecture and Hilbert's tenth problem.

I completed my PhD at Leiden University under the supervision of Jan-Hendrik Evertse and Peter Stevenhagen followed by postdocs at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in Bonn, the University of Michigan, ETH Zurich and Utrecht University. My PhD thesis is freely available here.
